BCL college unit chief held in Pabna over assaulting teacher

A leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League’s Government Shahid Bulbul College unit in Pabna has been arrested today on charge of assaulting a teacher.
Additional Superintendent of Police Gautam Kumar Biswas said that police detained Shamsuddin Junnun, 24, a resident of the municipality’s Shalgari area, from the town.
After arrest, police produced him before the court which sent him to jail pending further investigation.
Masudur Rahman, a teacher of the college, was assaulted on May 12 after he prevented his students from adopting unfair means in the examination.
A video clip of the incident went viral on social media that showed Junnun was assaulting the teacher.
