Bangladesh have won the tri-nation series in Ireland beating West Indies by five wickets.

It is Tigers’ first win in a multinational cricketing event in a decade.

They were chasing a target of 210 runs in 24 overs which was set following the D/L method after rain interrupted the match.

Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bowl first. West Indies scored 131 runs in 20.1 without losing any wicket before it started raining.

West Indies openers Shai Hope and Sunil Amris have both hit half centuries.

If rain washes out the final, then Bangladesh will lift the trophy for their better result in the league stage.

Tigers won both their league matches against West Indies. At the same time, they came up victorious in their only match against hosts Ireland.

On the other hand, West Indies won both of their matches against Ireland.

If Bangladesh manage to win the trophy, it will be their first in a multinational cricketing event.

Tigers have played six finals in the last decade but failed to win any of them
