PM inaugurates three power stations, six other projects

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday inaugurated seven projects, including three power stations, via video conference from Gonobhaban.

The projects include three power stations in Ashuganj, raising the total number of power stations to 100.

The power stations at Brahmanbarhia’s Ashuganj are – 51MW gas-based IPP plant, 200MW modular plant and 225MW combined power cycle plant.

The Prime Minister also unveiled plaques of upgrading a road to national highway connected with the Sylhet airport, the upgradation work of a regional highway in Manikganj and construction of a railway overpass in Brahmanbarhia.

The inaugurated other projects include residential halls at Chittagong University named after Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the prime minister, Kazir Bazar Bridge in Sylhet, two bridges in Manikganj and another in Brahmanbarhia’s regional highway.
