11 January 2017,Wednesday, 22:01

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami today strongly protested the arrest of its Laxmipur district’s Ramganj municipality unit secretary Nazmul Hasan.

Terming the arrest unjust, party’s assistant secretary general Hamidur Rahman Azad in a statement today alleged police have unlawfully arrested Nazmul to harass him politically.

He said as a part of the government’s conspiracy to annihilate Jamaat, police is detaining the leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Chhatrashibir from different places across the country on false charges.

Azad demanded immediate release of all detained leaders and activists of Jamaat and Chhatrashibir including Nazmul Hasan.
