Brief score: India 158 all out in 30.3 overs v Pakistan 338/4

A sparkling maiden century by Fakhar Zaman and fiery bowling have fired Pakistan to a stunning 180-run over arch-rivals India, sealing their first Champions Trophy triumph, reports Bdnews24.com.

Pakistan posted a daunting 338-4 riding on a decisive 128-run opening stand between Zaman (114) and Azhar Ali (59), some gritty mid-overs resolve and a late blitz from Mohammad Hafeez (57 not out) at The Oval on Sunday.

In reply, Mohammad Amir (3-16 in 6 overs) tore through the much-vaunted Indian top order with a fine opening spell, seeing the back of Rohit Sharma (0), Virat Kohli (5) and Shikhar Dhawan (21) inside the first 10 overs.

Young legspinner Shadab Khan (2-60 in 7 overs) then grabbed the wicket of Yuvraj Singh (22) while Hasan Ali (3-19 in 6.3 overs) took out MS Dhoni (4) to put Pakistan in command, leaving India in shambles on 54-5.

Hardik Pandya fought back with 76 off 43 balls but the damage was already done.

India’s mighty batting lineup soon folded for a measly 158 as Pakistan wrapped up a one-sided title-decider with 19.3 overs to spare.
