BNP announces 2-day prayer prog for Khaleda’s quick recovery

BNP on Thursday announced a two-day prayer programme seeking early recovery of its Chairperson Khaleda Zia who underwent an eye surgery at a hospital in London on Tuesday.
BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the programmes at a press conference at BNP’s Nayapaltan central office.
He said their party will arrange prayer sessions at mosques, temple, church and pagoda across the country on Friday and Saturday.
“Leader of the country’s 16 crore people, Khaleda Zia, underwent a successful eye surgery in a London hospital. We hope she’ll come round soon and return to us,” Fakhrul said.
He further said, “We’re going to arrange prayer sessions in mosques, temples, churches and pagodas as we want prayers of people of all religions for our chairperson’s quick recovery,” he added.
The BNP chief underwent the surgery for cataract in her right eye at Moorfields Eye Hospital on Tuesday evening (London time).
On July 15, Khaleda went to London for receiving medical treatment and spending time with her family members there.
The BNP chief may return home after celebrating Eid-ul-Azha with her family members in London.
