Star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan took two quick wickets for Bangladesh when hosts South Africa were on 90 in the 18th over in their second match of the three-match One-Day International (ODI) series at Boland Park in Paarl on Wednesday, UNB reports.

Shakib made the 1st breakthrough trapping Quinton de Kock by lbw to break the opening pair of 90 in 17.3 overs and then bowled out skipper Faf du Plessis for duck on the same collection in the last ball of the 18th over. de Kock was out for 46 off 61 balls, including one boundary.

Opener Hasim Amal (53 off 58b; 3x4) and AB de Villiers (27 off 22b; 3x4) were batting in the 3rd pair when their team collection was 133/2 in 24 overs.

Shakib conceded 41 runs for two in 8 overs.

Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and invited the hosts to bat first in the match.
