Tigers loss 2 rating points in ODI ranking

Bangladesh lost two rating points in ODI rankings after losing twice in the tri-nation series at home, according to ICC Men's ODI Team Ranking which updated on Sunday, UNB reports.

Despite the loss of points, the Tigers maintained 7th spot on the table above Sri Lanka.

Bangladesh lost twice against Sri Lanka by 79 runs in the tri-series final and conceded a 10-wicket defeat in the 6th match of the meet at the Tigers’ hunting ground in Mirpur.

Sri Lanka clinched the series title but remained at the same place with 84 points.

Sri Lanka also lost twice in the series against the upper-hand Bangladesh by a record 163 runs and conceded a 12-run defeat against the 10th ranked Zimbabwe, another competitor of the seven-match series.

With the only victory against Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe added one more rating point with their previous collection of 52, but remained 23 points behind the 9th ranked West Indies.

Bangladesh found Zimbabwe in the series for their two other victories by eight wickets and 91 runs.
