Youth stabbed dead in city

A young man was stabbed to death by another group in the city’s Lalbagh area on Friday night centering a trifle matter.

The deceased was identified as Shamim Hossain, 18, of the locality, UNB reports.

Deputy Commissioner (Lalbagh zone) Md Nazir Ahmed Khan said, the killing incident might take place over smoking at Shaheed Nagar at around 9 pm. The cause behind the incident would be confirmed after investigation.

Rafi was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with critical stab injury in his stomach where doctors pronounced him dead, said Inspector Md Bachhu Mia of the hospital.

Later the body was sent to morgue for autopsy.

Meanwhile, four people were taken to police station for interrogation.
