Biman official dies of coronavirus

A junior technical officer of Biman Bangladesh Airlines died of Covid-19 at a city hospital on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Joynal Abedin, 53.

“Joynal breathed his last at 12:25pm while undergoing treatment at Kuwait Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital,” said Tahera Khandakar, DGM (public relation) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, reports UNB.

Biman authorities admitted Joynal to the hospital on Friday evening, on information from his family members.

Joynal took leave from office for his sickness for some days and his condition worsened on Friday evening, she added.

Joynal left his wife Hafiza Sultana, two sons and so many well wishes.

According to Joynal’s family, he got fever on Tuesday last and was tested positive for coronavirus, later his wife also tested positive for the virus.

His wife, Hafiza Sultana has also been undergoing treatment in home isolation.

Bangladesh has been struggling with coronavirus pandemic for over three months.

The country has so far reported 63,026 coronavirus case and 846 deaths.
