Throat-slit bodies of 2 women found in Dhaka flat

Police recovered throat-slit bodies of a woman and her female domestic help from a flat in Dhaka’s Dhanmondi area this evening.

The victims were identified as Afroza Begum, 65, owner of the flat while her 17 years-old house help Bithi, English national newspaper the Daily Star quotes Abdul Latif, officer-in-charge of Dhanmondi Police Station, as saying. 

On information, police went to the house of Kazi Moniruddin Tarin, deputy managing director of Creative Group, and recovered the bodies from the fourth floor of a six-storey building on Road no-15 in Dhanmondi around 7:55pm, said the OC.

The OC suspected that a newly appointed female domestic help might have killed the duo as she went into hiding after the incident.

Police detained one Bachchu, a bodyguard of Tarin, as he provided the domestic help at the house today, for interrogation, according to the OC.
