Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed won the toss against Bangladesh and opted to bat first in their last league stage game of the ongoing ICC World Cup at Lord’s in London on Friday.

Pakistan have to win this match at least by 311 runs to secure a place in the semifinals, which is unlikely to happen.

England’s win in their last league stage game over New Zealand made Pakistan’s way to the semifinals nearly impossible.

Bangladesh, on the other hand, lost their previous match to India, which ended their dream to reach the semifinals.

Before coming to this match, Bangladesh played eight matches in the World Cup and won three of them while lost four. The other match was washed out due to rain. Tigers bagged only seven points from the eight games.

Pakistan also played eight matches and won four. They lost three matches while another was washed out due to rain.

Bangladesh made two changes in their playing XI bringing Mahmudullah Riyad and Mehidy Hasan Miraz in to replace Sabbir Rahman and Rubel Hossain.
