Sangram office vandalised, editor under police safety

A group of activists with the title of Muktijuddha Mancha on Friday evening vandalised Daily Sangram office while its editor Abul Asad was taken to safety by the police.

"We were working. Suddenly some people attacked the office with sticks and vandalized the office for more than half an hour," Ruhul Amin Gazi, chief reporter of the daily told media.

The attack came following a news article published in the daily. The attackers swooped on their office at about 6:00pm, vandalised furniture and computers, among others, and took away the elderly editor.

Journalists of the daily said that there was a process to clarify if there is any objection in any published news. But attack on newspaper office is not the due way.

Police told that they had taken its editor for his safety.
