2 workers killed in Rajshahi road crash

Two workers were killed in a road accident at Mohonpur in Rajshahi early this morning.
The deceased were identified as Mohon, 28, and Rashedul, 23. Both hailed from Kushtia.
Witnesses said the accident occured around 5:00am when a rice-laden truck fell into a ditch after its driver lost his control over the steering, leaving them dead on the spot.
The two workers were heading from Naogaon to Kushtia in the truck with their harvested rice, said officer-in-charge of Mohonpur police station, Abul Hossain.
The driver and his helper managed to flee the scene after the accident, the OC added.
