Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq today (Monday) said the recent trends of violent crimes is not just mere accident but immaculate conspiracy hatched by BNP-Jamaat alliance.

“Currently, we are seeing that if any untoward incident takes place, it often gets repeated. Several fire incidents took place right after the recent Chawkbazar fire. Then several rapes took place and now people are getting killed in mob beatings. These are not mere accidents but conspiracy hatched by BNP-Jamaat alliance. So we should remain alert against these,” state-run Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha news agency quoted Huq as saying.

The law minister said these while addressing a function to inaugurate newly-constructed five-storied district bar council building in Netrakona this afternoon, said a law ministry press release.

Presided over by bar council president Sitangsu Bikash Acharja, the function was also addressed by Asim Kumar Ukil, MP, Habiba Rahman Khan Shefali, MP, Prime Minister’s Office Secretary Sajjadul Hassan and Directorate of Registration Inspector General Khan Md. Abdul Mannan, among others.

The law minister later joined a meeting with the judges at Netrakona District Judge Court, urging them to provide justice quickly, adding, “Otherwise people may get into street justice system.”
